Enterprise5 - Obtaining Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.x (Required Version)

Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to print and view reports from within Enterprise5
 
Adobe Acrobat Reader provides secure documentation protection and preserves the integrity of the data
 
Due to significant changes made by Adobe the newest version of Acrobat Reader is not compatible with Enterprise5
 
Adobe no longer provides stand-alone downloads of their installation files and now require a web-based installation using the Adobe Download Manager
 
 
Please access the following Adobe website to obtain Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.x
 
 
Go to http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions
 
1. Once at the website make the appropriate selections depending on the version of Windows installed
2. Remove the check mark from the box for "Include in your download"
3. Please DO NOT install any toolbar program offered
4. Select the "Download Now" choice
   
(Selections for Adobe Reader 9.x for Windows XP)
   
   
5. Once "Download Now" has been selected an automated "Adobe Download Manager" (ActiveX install)
  will begin. Please follow the on-screen steps to begin the installation
  Please Note: the Internet Explorer Information Bar pop-up to allow the install of the Download Manager

6. Once installed proceed to the "Post Adobe Reader Preparation" Steps
   
 
Post Adobe Reader Preparation
 
Please prepare Adobe Acrobat Reader to not auto-update as the end-user will be prompted to update to a newer/incompatible version
 
1. Go to Start -> and in the "Search" box (for Windows Vista and Windows 7) or Start -> Run (for Windows XP)
2. Enter acrord32.exe and select "OK"
3. Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.4 will launch
4. Accept the license agreement
5. From the Adobe toolbar select  "Edit" then "Preferences"
6. Select "Updater" from the lower left-hand side
7. Select "Do not download or install updates automatically"
8. Select "OK" to save the selections and close Acrobat
